SUGAM Board members attended a two day board capacity building workshop in Salima at Yamikani Lodge. The workshop took place from 21st to 22nd March 2017. The workshop was a continuation of a series of workshops that have been designed to build the capacity of SUGAM board members on the operations of a Board of Trustees. During the workshop the board members were oriented on how to develop agenda for board meetings, preparing board papers, conduct of members during a board meetings. At the end of the workshop, the SUGAM Board Chairperson urged all board members to the take heed of what they have learnt during the workshop as it is meant to assist SUGAM to grow and effectively serve its members.
The workshop was organized as part of support to Sugarcane Growers Association of Malawi (SUGAM) under the Sugar Capacity Building Project Phase III being implemented by United Purpose formerly known as Concern Universal with funding from European Union though National Authorizing Office (NAO) of Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Development and Solidaridad.
